Vaulabs is a clean beauty contract manufacturer in Clearwater, Florida. We develop custom formulas and manufacture skincare, body care and hair care for brands that need a US-based partner with in-house chemists and a timeline it will hold to.

What we formulate

Serums, toners, creams, lotions, gels, body care, shampoos and conditioners, sprays, and selected powder products. We also work on OTC and SPF projects. We do not make solid bars or soap bars.

Every project runs one of two ways: a custom formula developed from a blank page for your brand, or private label built on an existing base when speed matters more than differentiation.

What custom development costs

• Standard custom formula development: around $1,000 per formula.
• Benchmark matching, where we reverse-engineer a reference product: $1,500.
• Both include one initial sample, up to two revisions, and shipping within the US.
• Typical development time is two to three weeks. Complex projects take longer, and we say so before you pay.
• OTC formulation is priced separately, around $3,800 per formula, with a higher minimum order.

Minimum order quantities

Our minimum order is 5,000 units per SKU. OTC formulas start at 10,000 units per SKU.

Timelines you can plan around

• First production run: 10 to 12 weeks from an approved formula, payment, packaging in hand, and completed testing.
• Reorder of the same product: 6 to 8 weeks, because R&D, packaging compatibility and artwork approval do not repeat.
• Stability testing runs alongside development, not in front of it. Three months of accelerated data supports a one year shelf life; six months supports two years. You do not have to wait for the six month report to start selling.

Testing and documentation

We run stability and preservative efficacy testing in house, and we provide the paperwork brands are actually asked for: certificates of analysis for your batch, product specifications, stability reports, challenge testing, allergen statements, Free Sale Certificates, and regulatory statements.

Who owns the formula

A custom formula developed at Vaulabs remains our intellectual property and is produced exclusively for your brand for as long as you manufacture with us. Purchasing rights outright, or a technology transfer to another facility, is handled as a separate agreement. We tell brands this before development starts, not after.
