GMP Certified Cosmetic Manufacturer in Florida
Vaulabs is a GMP certified, FDA-registered cosmetic manufacturer in Clearwater, Florida, in the Tampa Bay area. We develop custom clean beauty formulas in our own laboratory and produce them in the same building, under one quality unit.
What our certifications actually are
Our facility at 2021 Sunnydale Blvd is registered with the FDA and certified under NSF/ANSI 455-2, certificate number C0681369-HSCDS-5, valid through May 27, 2027. Certification under NSF/ANSI 455-3, the cosmetics standard in the same series, is planned at our next audit. We state the certificate number because a claim without one is not verifiable, and buyers at retail check.
It is worth being precise about the word itself. In the United States there is no government body that hands out a general "GMP certificate" for cosmetics. Good manufacturing practice is demonstrated through an accredited third-party audit against a published standard, and NSF/ANSI 455 is the standard most often recognised by retailers. If a manufacturer tells you they are GMP certified, the reasonable next question is which standard and which certificate number.
What GMP looks like on the floor
Batch records for every run. Raw material identity checks and quarantine before release. Line clearance between products. Calibrated equipment with current calibration dates. Retained samples. A quality unit that signs a batch out, separate from the people who made it. Documentation that survives a client audit, an Amazon document request, or a retailer's onboarding questionnaire.
Manufacturing scope
Skincare, haircare, body care, oils and liquids. Serums and shampoos, creams, lotions and conditioners, balms with low-speed, hot and cold fill. Minimum order quantity is 5,000 units per SKU per custom formula, 10,000 for OTC. Capacity runs over 400,000 units per month across four automated filling lines, with batches from 5,000 to 50,000 units and above. Custom formulation development is $1,000, benchmark matching $1,500, with the first sample in two to three weeks. A first production order takes 10 to 12 weeks from approved sample and deposit; a reorder takes 6 to 8.
